Quatermain's Journal
Mining expeditions, cave systems and forgotten tunnels have always required a different kind of equipment. Not everything yields to patience alone.
These cartridges are my interpretation of the gelatin dynamite once carried by engineers and explorers who worked beneath mountains rather than beneath open skies.
Thankfully, these examples possess only the appearance of their historic counterparts, allowing the story to survive without the danger.
Some doors are opened with keys. Others require rather more persuasion.
The Mystery
The development of gelatin dynamite in the nineteenth century gave engineers and explorers a more powerful and reliable means of breaking through rock. It helped carve tunnels, expand mines and uncover places that had remained hidden for centuries. Without such inventions, many archaeological discoveries might never have been reached.

An explorer quickly learns that some barriers exist for a reason, while others simply await the determination of those prepared to continue. These pieces celebrate the spirit of that determination, not the destructive force itself.
