Quatermain's Journal
People often imagine treasure as something hidden beneath an X on a map. In truth, gold has a habit of appearing where least expected, usually after the hardest part of the journey has already been endured.
These bars are my interpretation of the kind of treasure that has fuelled expeditions, legends and greed for centuries. Whether buried beneath forgotten temples or locked away in hidden vaults, gold has always possessed an unusual ability to change those who seek it.
Fortunately, these examples possess only the appearance of great wealth. They are considerably easier to carry.
Not every treasure changes your fortune. Some simply change your imagination.
The Mystery
From the tombs of ancient Egypt to the lost cities of South America, gold has inspired explorers to cross oceans, climb mountains and disappear into wilderness. Much of history's greatest treasure is still believed to remain undiscovered, ensuring that the search continues with every new generation.

Gold has never created adventure. It merely tempts people to begin one. The true reward has always been the journey and the stories carried home afterwards.
