Quatermain's Journal
The Surveyor's Rule is an original Quatermain creation, designed to celebrate both historical and modern systems of measurement.
Rather than serving as an ordinary ruler, the instrument combines familiar scales with measurements that have guided explorers, surveyors and builders across different periods of history.
The current design is an early development concept. Additional historical units, moving features and refinements may appear in future editions.
The Mystery
Some measurements are instantly recognisable. Others belong to another age. Hidden amongst the scales may be references whose significance is only revealed elsewhere within the Quatermain Archive.
Quatermain Field Observation
Every journey begins with a single measurement. The wise explorer learns that not everything worth measuring can be expressed with a modern ruler.
